1968 Shelby GT350 VIN #: 8T03J192483-02201

Local car sold new at Francis For Fords here in Harrisburg. Owned by the same family for the past 37 years. Always garaged and very well kept mechanically. This was the owner's wife's "beach car" but it has reached an age where he was concerned about her driving it long distances. So he got her a 2007 GT500 convertible to replace it.

Originally Lime Gold with black interior and parchment top. Repainted about 1976 with a cheapo red enamel job done for the used car lot that sold it to the present owner. Despite its appearance in the photos, the paint has too many flaws to mention. We sanded and buffed it and it is now a classic "Ten footer" and should be refinished.

65,000 miles, believed actual. Factory 4 speed car, original steel wheels with covers, original spare. Tilt/flip steering wheel, AM radio. Nice white convertible top with glass rear window. have driven the car and it runs and stops very well and drives quite smoothly with good road feel. Current PA safety inspection through July of 2014. All systems work, including the flip away mechanism on the steering wheel. Power top operates smoothly.

The body is very good with original date coded metal and fiberglass throughout. No accident damage. Generally solid - the only rusty areas are at the front floor pans, probably from the from usual cowl leak. Minor bubbling in one spot over the right rear wheel opening.  The car is holding good panel and door gaps so I do not believe there are any structural issues, all frame rails are very solid. The interior is all original and upholstery is very nice, the only issue is a small tear in the driver's seat backrest.

The engine is original with matching VIN stamp, factory S8MS Holley carb / Cobra aluminum intake, correct steel bottom air filter, C8ZF-A distributor, fan, radiator, etc. Factory steel wheels including spare, and covers. The following items have been changed - fog lights (modern Marchals), shifter (Hurst) and console gauges (modern Stewart Warner replacements),

All tags are intact - VIN, door, dash & buck. I have not yet looked for a build sheet and there are no documents with the car. No Marti Report yet. Clean PA title.

Price $59,500 On display in my showroom.
